Welcome to Anime-Wiki.org

Welcome to our wiki! Our goal is to become a leading source for anime information, for anime fans, by anime fans. By following a non-profit, ad-free scheme, encased in an open wiki format we hope to provide a simple, and easy way to edit and access anime information.

If you are new to Anime-Wiki.org or new to wiki's in general, we suggest checking out our Newbie Guide.

As an important component of a growing community we actively encourage the submission and discussion of information pertaining to new/unreleased anime titles into our database.

Wow. Sorry for the downtime. That was not fun. Our host moved this account to a new server without letting us know -- and the new server handled .htaccess and permissions differently resulting in a whole *whack* of problems. This derailed my weekend plans to test/implement Categories in the Edit page. Good news though -- I updated the backend to the latest build of Mediawiki. If you encounter issues/problems let me know. As a heads up: The URL's should still read: http://en.anime-wiki.org/wiki/Article_Name => if they read http://en.anime-wiki.org/index.php=?Title -- then let me know, this is wrong and it's a problem I'm constantly fighting with on this new server and the way it handles .htaccess. Things worked fine in the past... *sigh*.

Forums have been overhauled. New theme, new logo (default phpBB logo = bleh) and a whole whack load of new forums. Still haven't decided how I want to divide up Manga and Live-Action but those sections will also be up by the end of the day. Now all we need is posters :)

Hmm. It appears that I'm still alive. Anime-Wiki.Org is still alive and kicking, I'm finally getting around to redoing the forums to make them appear more interesting, new forums, etc... maybe one day someone will post on them and that shall be a Grand Day indeed. Nevertheless, I've updated a few pages, I guess posting news at least *twice* a year is a good thing too.

Phase 3 of Anime-Wiki.Org has begun. New layout, easier to edit pages, centralized user database and the official launch of our German and Finnish (Suomi) databases available at: http://de.anime-wiki.org and http://fi.anime-wiki.org Lots of plans on the horizon as Anime-Wiki.Org approaches its 3-Year anniversary (August 2008). Thanks to all who have contributed and continue to contribute to our project. Our continued commitment to this website is our thanks to you for your efforts in expanding our database. Anime-Wiki.Org's database is closing in on 1,000 pages of true content and over 3,000 pages.
