Officer Wataru Takagi is a young police detective assigned to Tokyo HQ Section 3 (Homicide), under Inspector Juuzou Megure. The developing romance with his partner Miwako Satou is one the sub-plots in the series.
Takagi is Conan Edogawa's prefered contact on the police force, when he is forced to acting in his rejuved age.
His fellow officers in Section 3 are Inspector Megure (his boss), Superintendent Shiratori (his superior), Officer Satou (his partner), and Officer Chiba.
